Morristown, New Jersey, and its surrounding area is a great place to work and live. As we’ve been financial advisors in Morristown, New Jersey and residents of nearby towns for several years now, we thought we would share our thoughts on the ten things we love about being a financial advisor in Morristown, New Jersey.

  1. History

Characters from the Broadway show Hamilton were in Morristown. Alexander Hamilton courted Elizabeth Schuyler in town. Hamilton and Washington were together here. Washington’s Headquarters is a beautiful building still standing. It’s fun to spot Hamilton, Washington and Schuyler’s names on buildings and plaques around town.

  1. Parks

We always enjoy passing through the Morristown Green on the way to a meeting. It is a leafy, bench lined square that brings a bit of calm and nature right into the center of town. Lewis Morris Park is great for a trail run or nature hike in the hills. The Frelinghuesen Arboretum has gorgeous gardens and a preserve surrounding a Colonial mansion.

  1. Restaurants

It is a highlight to meet clients for lunch at South + Pine. It is so welcoming and delicious. The chef is amazing. She had an incredible career with a celebrity chef. The menu is fresh and seasonal. They are doing a great take away service for meals and groceries now.

Jockey Hollow executes on multiple concepts from fine dining to a raw bar. Each one is a special treat.

Saigon Subs is a favorite take out spot for the office. Always fresh and savory.

  1. Century 21

Century 21 is well known in New York City and the suburbs for designer brands at big discounts. We love a good value. This long-time favorite attracts crowds on the weekend.

  1. Morris Museum

We pass this on the way to work. It’s a Smithsonian Affiliate. The installations are great. It’s an engaging venue for events and there are many family programs for kids to enjoy.

  1. Culture –Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC)

MPAC has a very active calendar. There are events for any age. The center features headliners, comedians, and cover bands. It is surrounded by great restaurants. It makes a great evening to share a meal and see a show.

  1. Events

Morristown pulls out the stops for St. Patrick’s Day. It is also a great backdrop when the team brings the kids for Take Your Child to Work Day. After some hard work and personal finance we take them for a business lunch and a quick stop into the vintage arcade for pinball and console games.

  1. Healthcare

Morristown Memorial hospital is down the block. Many specialists are located in town. It’s comforting to know there is world class healthcare nearby. Some clients schedule our meetings to back to back with their doctor’s appointments. Smart and convenient!

  1. Our office

We took new space in 2018. The large windows and spacious layout are bright and welcoming. The technology is great. It’s a very comfortable place to welcome clients and work.

  1. Community

Overall we feel that Morristown has a wonderful energy. It’s a combination of business, history and family life.
